Level 1 PBX Training

We require that all installers of Far South Networks’ products attend Level 1 PBX Training.

Pre-requisites:

Course description:

  • Provides an overview of the Wanderbox and Com.X PBX & Gateway product range
  • Enhances the participant’s knowledge of Wanderweb Connect services
  • Equips the participant with the necessary practical skills to install and maintain PBX and UC services to Com.X and Wanderbox based businesses

Requirements:

  • Participants must provide their own terminals (i.e. laptops) with Ethernet LAN port and cable for connecting to the training kit.
  • Participants should be familiar with PBX and telecommunications concepts and terminology.
  • Participants should be able to configure basic PC networking and operate a web browser.

  • Features review (Messaging and Voice services, Conference, Voicemail, IVR, queues, CDRs, etc.)
  • Basic extension configuration
    • Phone provisioning (analogue, SIP, Wanderweb UC&C)
  • SIP and analogue trunk creation
    • Dial rules
  • Simple outbound routing strategies, via SIP and analogue trunks
  • Inbound routing via SIP and analogue
  • Announcements and call destinations (system recordings, announcement, queues, ring groups, pins, conference)
  • Basic Linux Command Line (Asterisk CLI access and queries)
